The grapes come from Cariñena vineyards whose conditions are similar to those in parts of Rhône, France. They sit 1200 to 2400 feet above sea level, and the rocky soils radiate warmth during cold nights, allowing for slow, steady ripening of the grapes. With this kind of development, the Garnacha is not over-extracted, and the wine contains high-toned acidity and minerality.

This tinto starts off with flavors of ripe cherry and raspberry fruit with hints of violet, fennel and spice in the background. The wine is juicy and lively in the mouth with a persistent finish. There is more complexity than one may expect from a wine at this price. This is just a
great value from Spain.
